When you shop with Flair by Ruth Empire, you share some personal details with us so we can get your hair to you. This page explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
1. What we collect
- Your details: name, phone number, email address and delivery address.
- Your order: the wigs and products you choose, sizes, lengths, colours, quantities, notes and delivery option.
- Payment confirmation: proof or reference that you have paid. We never ask for, and do not store, your card number, PIN or banking password on this website.
- Your messages: anything you send us on WhatsApp, email or through the website, such as enquiries, photos or after-sales requests.
- Basic technical data: your browser, device type and IP address, which our hosting provider records to keep the site secure.
2. How we use it
- To confirm, prepare and deliver your order.
- To contact you about your order, payment, delivery or an exchange.
- To answer your questions and give after-sales support.
- To keep the website secure and prevent fraud.
- To meet legal and accounting requirements.
We only send promotions if you have agreed to receive them, and you can ask us to stop at any time. We do not sell your personal information.
3. Who we share it with
We share only what is needed with people and services that help us run the store:
- Delivery partners who receive your name, phone number and address to deliver your order.
- Website services: Cloudflare (hosting and security), Airtable (product and order records), Cloudinary (product images), an email service for order messages, and a currency-rate service so prices can be shown in other currencies.
- WhatsApp, when you choose to order or chat with us there. WhatsApp's own privacy terms apply to those chats.
- Authorities, only if the law requires us to.
4. Where your information is stored
Some of these services store information on servers outside Nigeria. Where that happens, we rely on providers that protect personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
5. Keeping your information safe
Access to our order records is limited to people who need it to run the store, and the admin area is password-protected. No website or online system can be guaranteed completely secure, but we take care to protect your details. We keep order and customer records only as long as needed for delivery, returns, support, accounting and legal reasons, and then delete or anonymise them.
6. Cookies and browser storage
We use your browser's storage to keep your shopping cart and remember simple site settings. We do not use advertising or analytics trackers on this website. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser may contact Google when a page loads. You can clear your browser storage at any time, which will empty your cart.
7. Your rights
Under Nigerian data protection law you can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent you gave us earlier. You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
8. Children
Our store is for adult shoppers and is not aimed at children. If you think a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will deal with it.
9. Contact us
To ask a question or make a request about your information, message us on WhatsApp or use the contact details on our Contact section. Please never send card details or passwords.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
